Premiere of the Documentary Film "Journey of the Far Blue Horizons"
On October 24, 2024, at the Cultural Center in Bijeljina, the documentary film Journey of the Far Blue Horizons premiered, celebrating the notable 80th anniversary of Orao a.d. Bijeljina. This film, produced to commemorate the company’s rich legacy, is a profoundly emotional journey through the milestones of its history.
The screening brought together retirees, current employees, business partners, and numerous guests, all of whom joined to mark this significant occasion. Orao a.d. Bijeljina was established in 1944 in Pančevo, and throughout its existence, it has faced substantial challenges, including two major relocations: first from Pančevo to Rajlovac, and then, after the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, a complete move to Bijeljina, where employees, equipment, and machinery were all transferred. On this new ground—initially an open field—a thriving enterprise emerged, which today operates as a modern business system.
The premiere of Journey of the Far Blue Horizons was one of many events marking Orao a.d. Bijeljina’s 80-year anniversary. In recognition of its contribution to economic development, the City of Bijeljina awarded Orao the prestigious Knez Ivo of Semberija Gold Medal. This anniversary also featured the release of six podcast episodes, an exhibition showcasing two aircraft engines on Bijeljina’s city square, illustrating the company’s developmental journey from its foundation to the present day. The central event of the anniversary celebration will take place on October 30, 2024, at the Ethno Village Stanišići, symbolizing the culmination of Orao a.d. Bijeljina’s decades of achievement and growth.
Following the screening, service awards were presented to employees with 10, 20, 30, and 40 years of continuous service, further underscoring the values of commitment, unity, and teamwork.
This event was an opportunity to reflect on our past while optimistically looking toward the future, reaffirming our dedication to advancing the aerospace industry and enhancing the quality of services we provide.
