Advanced Event Investigation Techniques Training Held at “Orao”

A two-day training course on advanced event investigation techniques was held at “Orao” in Bijeljina. The trainer, Dejan Denčić, an aerospace engineer from Belgrade, explained that the aim of the training was to understand potential problems that may arise during production and prevent the recurrence of the same errors, ultimately ensuring the highest possible level of satisfaction among customers in the aviation industry.

“A turbojet engine is a complex machine that generates extremely high forces, pressures and rotational speeds, while tolerances for deviations are very tight. An aircraft engine is, as the English say, ‘state of the art’, and ‘Orao’ and its employees here in Bijeljina work precisely at the cutting edge of mechanical engineering and mechatronics. That is why it is important for everyone to undergo this training and be prepared to respond if deviations occur, establish teams, investigate incidents and improve the organisation,” Denčić said.

He noted that the training was conducted in accordance with the AS13000 aerospace standard, established by major global engine manufacturers.

“We must be aware that ‘Orao’ works with major global companies such as Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce and General Electric. The objective is therefore to deliver superior products to such companies. To err is human, and the human factor is always present; however, we must be able to understand a problem at any given time and build a system that is resilient to errors,” Denčić emphasised.

Fifty employees of “Orao” completed the advanced event investigation techniques training. Denčić highlighted that the Bijeljina-based company has a young workforce and a high level of expertise.

“I am pleased that many participants wanted to engage in discussions with me and ask questions, as this is how we arrive at even better conclusions. ‘Orao’ complies with all applicable standards in the aviation sector, and my colleagues and I have also delivered training courses in the past addressing current developments in the aviation industry,” added aerospace engineer Dejan Denčić.
