Visit of High-Level Officials at “Banja Luka Expo 2026” Highlights the Importance of “Orao” for the Economy of Republika Srpska
“The fact that the stand of ‘Orao’ a.d. Bijeljina was visited on the very first day of the International Trade Fair ‘Banja Luka Expo 2026’ by the President of Republika Srpska, Siniša Karan, the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandić, and the Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship of Republika Srpska, Radenko Bubić, clearly demonstrates that ‘Orao’ is a key pillar of the defense industry of Republika Srpska and a company with significant untapped potential for the economic development of our country,” stated Marko Mrkajić, Director of Orao.
Mrkajić emphasized that trade fairs such as “Banja Luka Expo 2026” provide companies from Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina with opportunities to connect with other businesses, as well as with financial institutions and investment funds.
“‘Orao’ is one of the few companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska whose core business is based in the aviation industry. Due to the specific nature of our activities and our cooperation with leading global aerospace companies such as ‘Rolls-Royce’ and ‘Pratt & Whitney’, our references are recognized across numerous international markets. At the same time, we remain committed to strengthening ties within the economic sector of Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Mrkajić added.
He also commended the organization of “Banja Luka Expo 2026”, noting that Orao had already held serious discussions on potential financial investments and new projects on the very first day of the event.
“We presented our key capabilities in the overhaul of turbojet engines, precision machining, calibration, and surface protection. In addition, we showcased the advanced technological processes and quality standards implemented by Orao,” Mrkajić said.
The International Trade Fair “Banja Luka Expo 2026” officially opened on May 13 and will run until May 15 at the University of Banja Luka complex. The event represents a modern international exhibition covering sectors such as construction, metal and electrical industries, wood processing, technology and home appliances, IT, electronics and robotics, real estate, architecture, and design. Exhibitors also include representatives from the banking sector, microcredit organizations, insurance companies, and other financial institutions from across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The fair has brought together more than 450 exhibitors in Banja Luka.
