Laboratories represent a significant potential of ORAO and were developed primarily for the needs of the process of overhaul and production of turbojet engines, as well as for the needs of calibration and testing in aviation. All key flows of the technological process in production, overhaul and technical control are under the supervision of the laboratory. This is made possible by modernly equipped laboratories and top staff. So far, the services of the laboratories have been used by more than 1,000 clients. Through previously established cooperation with renowned manufacturers of turbojet engines (Rolls-Royce, General Electric, SNECMA, Pratt & Whitney), the laboratories adopted their procedures and control processes, which facilitated the mastering of calibration and testing procedures according to applicable international and domestic standards, meeting the quality management requirements given in the series of standards ISO 9001, EN 9100 and ISO/IEC 17025. The entire metrology technology is stored in an information system, specially designed and developed for these needs.
Pursuant to Article 7 of the Law on Establishment of the Accreditation Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina (“Official Gazette of B&H”, No. 10/02), the B&H Accreditation Institute keeps a register of accredited bodies for assessing compliance with data on the scope of accreditation. A detailed description of the scope of accreditation can be found in the accreditation appendix and can be obtained from an accredited conformity assessment body or the B&H Accreditation Institute.
